Nintendo logoNintendo 'free' game with 3DS + Pokémon/Smash Bros*Buy console and selected games, get a free game download - norm up to £40

Expired

This deal is for people who have recently bought or are going to buy a Nintendo 2DS, 3DS or 3DS XL handheld console, plus one of the following games: Super Smash Bros, Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

If that’s you, you can download a free game from Nintendo* when you register your new console and game to Club Nintendo (a free loyalty club) before 11.59pm on Mon 12 Jan, 2015.

Provided one of the three eligible games is purchased as well as your console, you’ll get the freebie. It doesn’t matter where you buy the items, as long as they’re new and weren’t registered before Thu 11 Sep.

Registration is free and there are seven digital downloads to choose from:

This is handy if you’ve already bought one of these DS consoles and games for Christmas, but not worth buying one specially just for this deal.

Here’s how to do it...

  1. Register your console and qualifying game with Club Nintendo (you may have to wait up to 24 hours after registering). Then, log in.
  2. Once logged in, request a free download code before 12 Feb 2015 and it will be sent to you via email within 48 hours.
  3. Go to the Nintendo eShop and use your code at the online checkout before 12 Mar 2015 to get your free download.

MSE Debs says:

The freebie’s probably only worth it if you’ve already bought or were planning to buy a Nintendo DS console plus one of the games anyway. If you’ve bought them as a Christmas present, you could register on the recipient’s behalf and give them the code as an extra little gift allowing them to choose their own free game.

Nintendo logoNintendo spend £100 to get ‘free’ £50 bundle*Enter code to get Mario backpack, magazine and hat

Expired

Spend £100 or more on anything at Nintendo Official UK Store* before Sun 30 Nov and you’ll get a ‘free’ £50 Mario bundle. Simply enter the MSE Blagged code mario1 at the checkout.

If it says ‘Sold out’ next to the bundle when you enter the code, ignore it. We checked this with Nintendo and it’s a glitch on the site - the bundles are definitely in stock. You should still go quick if you fancy it though, as there are only 200 bundles available.

The bundle contains a Mario backpack (usually £29.99, next cheapest we found £33), a copy of Nintendo Magazine’s Ultimate Guide to Mario issue (no longer available but was £9.99) and a funky red Mario hat (normally £9.99, we couldn’t find this exact hat to compare but similar go for about £6).

MSE Debs says:

It isn’t the cheapest way to buy a console, or games, but if you’re keen to buy from Nintendo directly, the freebies might outweigh the savings you’d make by shopping somewhere cheaper.

Rakuten logoRakuten £10 off £40 on everything*MSE Blagged code good for console games. 10,000 available

Expired

MSE update: due to the popularity of this deal we have increased the total number of codes from 2,000 to 10,000.

Go to online marketplace Rakuten* to use the MSE Blagged code MSERAK10 to get £10 off when you spend £40 or more until Sun 16 Nov. There are 2,000 discount codes available, which can be used on anything on the site from fashion and beauty to experience days and gadgets. If you were to use the discount on console games, it would bring top games and new releases down to the cheapest on the market.

You could use this discount on consoles, however you can find them cheaper elsewhere.

The code will not work if  you're a guest user, you will need to be signed in or register. It's one code per order which cannot be used in conjunction with any other deals.

When adding items to your basket, the value must be £40 per seller not including shipping charges. If you ordered something costing £35 from seller A and something costing £5 from seller B, these would count as 2 different transactions as they are two different sellers. This will prevent the £10 off code from working.
