A cut-price Nintendo Switch 2 leads the gaming deals on Prime Day
Amazon Prime Day* is now live, with gaming deals across Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation. As always with big sales, don’t assume every percentage discount is as good as it looks – we’ve included the current deal price and the “was” price for each offer, and where useful we’ve added extra context on whether we’ve seen it cheaper before.
Most Prime Day deals require an Amazon Prime subscription. Prime normally costs £8.99/month or £95/year, though eligible new customers may be able to get a 30-day free trial. Just remember to cancel before the trial ends if you don’t want to keep paying.
We’ll keep updating this page with the best deals we find until Prime Day ends on Friday 26 June.

Things to watch out for before buying
Prime subscription required. Most Prime Day deals are exclusive to Prime members. Eligible new customers may be able to use a 30-day free trial, but set a reminder to cancel if you don’t want to keep it.
Check the “was” price. Amazon’s “was” price isn’t always the best guide to whether a deal is genuinely good. Compare against other retailers and price-tracking sites before buying.
Make sure it’s the right platform. Some games have separate Xbox One/Xbox Series X, PS4/PS5, Switch and Switch 2 versions. Check the format before you buy.
Check digital vs physical. A boxed game can be resold or shared, while a digital code can’t. But digital may be more convenient and sometimes cheaper.
Watch delivery dates. Some Prime Day offers sell out quickly or shift to delayed delivery, so check the estimated delivery date before ordering.

Beat the price hikes by shopping around
The Game Pass pricing rollercoaster is in an ebb right now, with Microsoft LOWERING Game Pass prices in April 2026 following years of price increases. Lucky for PC players, PC Game Pass remains the best-value Game Pass subscription tier and a great way to play PC games on the cheap.
But look in the right places (mainly Loaded.com), and you can still beat the recently decreased Game Pass price.
Here are the best prices we found for one, three, and six-month subscriptions to Xbox Game Pass, with the biggest savings by far coming with the highest 'Ultimate' tier. What's now called the 'Essential' tier used to be called 'Core', and you can still buy codes for Core memberships at third-party sites that will turn into Essential memberships once you activate them.
NOTE: Some users have reported that Loaded.com adds 20% VAT on top of the listed price. However, this extra fee disappears when you sign in, so make sure you sign in before you complete your purchase.

Sales dates, price trackers, and where to rent games
The Xbox Series S is one of the most affordable entry points into current-gen gaming, and game prices tend to be a little cheaper than those on Nintendo and PlayStation platforms. There are plenty of ways to find Xbox Series (and Xbox One) games at a low price, and MSE Rob's cheap Xbox games guide shows you how, including:
Best Xbox Cyber Monday deals - up to 10% off
Barely any discounts. Do they know it's Christmas time at all?
We've made it to Cyber Monday with barely a good Xbox Series discount in sight. Manage your expectations, because so far it almost looks like retailers have forgotten the console exists when prepping their Black Friday sales (though we have found a decent Xbox Series X deal for a refurbished version).
Here are the best Xbox deals we've found throughout Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
XBOX SERIES S
The most affordable Xbox console. All-digital (no disc drive), compact, and capable of playing all the same games as the Series X – albeit at lower resolutions and graphics settings.
Xbox Series S (512GB)* – £269.99 (was £299.99) at Argos
Potentially £254 using the following steps:
-
Buy an Argos eGift Card worth £265 for £254 via Lebara Rewards (4% off)
-
Sign up to the Argos newsletter for a £5 off £40 spend voucher.
-
At the Argos checkout, use the £5 voucher and £265 eGift card to pay for the console.
XBOX SERIES X
Microsoft’s most powerful console. Includes a disc drive (unless it's the Digital Edition), supports 4K gaming, and has significantly more graphical horsepower than the Series S.
Xbox Series X (1TB - Refurbished - Very Good Condition) – £384.99 (was £459.99) at Music Magpie via Ebay.
Xbox Series X (1TB)* – £469.99 (was £499.99). Potentially £446 using the Lebara trick above.
Xbox Series X (1TB) Digital Console* – £419.99 (was £449.99). Potentially £398 using the Lebara trick above.

XBOX ACCESSORIES & HARDWARE DEALS
Xbox Wireless Controller – Carbon Black* – £39.99 (was £59.99) at Amazon
Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller – £88 (was £109.99) at Currys
Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

Cheapest Xbox consoles & games for Black Friday
Series S 512GB £199, Series X 1TB £424
It’s a mixed bag of Xbox deals this year, with solid discounts on the Xbox Series S but some not-so-strong discounts on the Series X console.
We’re also seeing little in the way of bundle deals, although there are some strong price drops on games.
Here’s what we spotted on 29 November 2024:
Xbox model | Normal price | Cheapest we’ve spotted |
|---|---|---|
Xbox Series S (512GB) | £299.99 | £199 at EE*. This is the cheapest price it’s been in 2024, but the same discount as last Black Friday. But we did see it for £189 last year. |
Xbox Series X (1TB) | £499.99 |
|
Here are a few offers we’ve spotted on Xbox games:
-
FC25 (normally £69.99) – £34.99 at Xbox. We did see it slightly cheaper at £33.94 earlier in the year, but this is a solid discount nonetheless.
-
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (normally £69.99) –
£19.99 at. This is the lowest price we’ve seen all year. We couldn’t spot any discounts on the recently released Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.DEAL EXPIRED
-
Elden Ring (normally £69.99) –
£27.95 at. It’s been as low as £22.95 at Amazon this year, however.DEAL EXPIRED
-
Hogwarts Legacy (normally £69.99) – £14.99 at Very. This is the cheapest price we’ve seen it this year.
-
Cyberpunk 2077 (normally £69.99) – £22.49 at Xbox. This is as cheap as we’ve seen it this year.
Important: Don’t get taken in by the hype around Black Friday and sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
