Reglaze your glasses from £10 delivered via code

Normally £21. Keep your existing frames and just replace the lenses

If you go online to reglazing website Lensology, you can get £10 off, plus 95p off delivery, when you enter the MSE Blagged code MSE10 at the checkout by 11.59pm on Thursday 9 October. This means you can get your glasses reglazed and delivered for as cheap as £10 (£6 for basic lenses, plus £4 for standard delivery).

What is Lensology? If you've a pair of specs you're fond of, but need new lenses, it can just replace the old lenses and fit new ones into your existing frames. For example, you may want to reglaze your lenses as they are scratched, or to give you better features such as blue-light protection, anti-glare, UV protection, or thinner lenses. This saves you buying a totally new pair of glasses, and is also an environmentally-friendly option.

The cheapest option to reglaze to standard 'no frills' 1.5 uncoated lenses is usually £16, plus £4.95 delivery, so with our code that makes it £10 delivered. This is the most basic option which can be glazed as everyday lenses, reading lenses, or as an intermediate prescription. These are only recommended for prescriptions with sphere powers up to +/- 3.00.

Of course, you'll need to consider your own needs and prescription, so factor in these additional costs if your reason for reglazing frames goes beyond this basic option. For example, other options such as single vision sunglasses cost from £32 (so £22 with our code), while bifocal lenses cost from £35 (or £25 with our code) – see a breakdown of Lensology's pricing. The code applies to all items, excluding accessories.

Production times will vary depending on the type of lenses you choose:

  • Stock lenses: five to seven working days

  • Custom lenses: five to 10 working days

See full Lensology production time info.

Delivery normally costs from £4.95 via Royal Mail, but our code makes it £4 when selecting the 'Tracked 48 Royal Mail' option.

How to order with Lensology... Choose your lens options and place the order online before sending your glasses. Once you’ve completed your order, Lensology will send a separate form for confirming prescription details. It will also post you a pack to send your glasses in.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
