Online beauty retailer Lookfantastic is offering its 'Mother's Day Beauty Edit'* for £50 delivered. It contains seven beauty items including big brands such as Clinique, Eve Lom, Bobbi Brown and more – see below for the full list.
Lookfantastic reckons the contents are worth over £215, though our calculations show you could buy the items separately for about £186 when factoring in current sales.
Although it's called the 'Mother's Day Beauty Edit', it doesn't have to be a Mother's Day gift, and Lookfantastic says the messaging on the box just reads 'With Love'.
Lookfantastic wouldn't tell us how many sets are available, but did say it's thousands of boxes. We suspect this set will be popular with MoneySavers, so if you want this it's best to go quick.
Here are the full contents of the set, plus our calculations when we checked on Tuesday 18 February:
Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, 15ml – £19 at John Lewis
Clinique Moisture Surge Lip Hydro-Plump treatment, 10ml – £20 at Boots
Ghost Orb Night perfume, 10ml – £7.32 at Amazon, based on 30ml bottle
Eve Lom cleanser, 50ml – £38.40 at Lookfantastic
BareMinerals Ageless Phyto ProCollagen firming cream, 50ml – £49.65 at Debenhams
Natasha Denonam I Need A Rouge Lip Styletto – £19.20 at Sephora

We're not hugely impressed with the deals for Ghd this Black Friday, but there are a few small discounts off the Air Hair Dryer, Creative Curl Wand and Rise Hot Brush products. Although we did spot bigger discounts both throughout the year and last Black Friday.
If two retailers are price-matching, look out for free delivery and extras such as extended guarantees to make sure you're getting the best possible deal.
Here are the best Ghd deals we've spotted on Friday 29 November:
Ghd model | Normal price | Cheapest we’ve spotted |
---|---|---|
Ghd Original Hair Straightener | £139 | £100 at Amazon*, John Lewis* (in-store only) and Very. We saw it for £94.99 earlier in the year. |
Ghd Air Hair Dryer | £139 | £94.99 at Amazon* and John Lewis* (in-store only) but was cheaper last Black Friday and £88.99 at Amazon earlier this year. |
Ghd Creative Curl Wand (28-23mm) | £159 | £114.46 at Amazon*. Was slightly cheaper last year and £108 earlier this year. |
Ghd Rise Hot Brush | £179 | £134 at Ghd, the same price as last year. However, it was £128.99 at Amazon earlier this year. |
Although buying directly from Ghd may not get you the best discounts, it might offer some small extra benefits. Currently, it has an extra 5% off sale items via the code: FLASH5 until 11.59pm on Friday 29 November. Last year, if you used the code GHDXBF at the checkout you got you a free Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray 120ml (normally about £15).
Important: Don’t get taken in by the hype around Black Friday and buy things you don’t need or can’t afford. Always compare prices yourself to ensure you get the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.
