Republic of Cats 28 meals for £1 (normally £15)

Plus 50% off your second box and 25% off your third. Free delivery, excludes NI

    Expired

If you're new to online tailored cat food company Republic of Cats*, you can get a 'Taster Box' for £1 (normally £15) when you enter the MSE Blagged code TASTERBOX at the checkout until 11.59pm on Thu 31 Mar. Delivery's free and you can order one box per household. Republic of Cats has told us it's currently not delivering to Northern Ireland.

A 'Taster Box' of cat food gives you 28 meals which will last your furry friend two weeks – purrfect. The portion size of your box is based on the information that you enter about your cat – see how it works below.

Important: When you complete your order, you'll be automatically enrolled into a monthly subscription service and after the multibox offer ends, boxes will be charged at full price. However, you can delay orders or cancel at any time (including within the first month) from your Republic of Cats online account if you don't want to continue with it, and you won't be charged for further deliveries. You'll just need to make sure you cancel before it starts prepping your next order which is usually two days before it's delivered.

How to get 50% off your second box and 25% off your third

If you choose to continue with the subscription, you'll receive an email four days before your next payment is due with a code and instructions on how to get 50% off your second box and 25% off the third – both boxes will contain 60 meals which will last a month. The code must be entered 48 hours before the next payment is due to avoid paying full price.

How does Republic of Cats work?

Republic of Cats offers 'tailored' cat food based on some basic information you enter about your kitty, including age, breed and any medical or dietary requirements they have. You can also select two 'goals' you'd like your food to help with, for example healthier teeth and gums. You can then choose if you'd like wet or dry food or a mixture of both, and if you'd like any treats included. Find out more on its food information page.

There's not one set price for how much the food costs per month, as this depends on the particular recipe for your cat – though Republic of Cats has told us the average cost works out to be £1 per day.

    MSE Jules says:

We tested it out with one of our MSE cats (Sunny the Domestic Shorthair) and Republic of Cats gave us 680g of tailored dry cat food and 15 x 85g portions of wet food for £1 (normally £26.99 in total for a month's worth of food), which Sunny loved. When we looked at the supermarkets for two week's worth of food, we could get 800g of dry cat food from a well-known brand for £4 and 12 x 100g of wet food for £3.75 so £7.75 in total, though obviously recipes and nutritional value are all different.

While we're not experts in cat food, Republic of Cats claims all of its food is developed by nutritionists and when we looked on Mon 24 Jan, it had a 4.5/5 score on Trustpilot from 866 reviews.
