If you click a link with an * to go through to a provider, we may get paid. This usually only happens if you get a product from it. This is what funds our team of journalists, and keeps us free to use. Yet there are two crucial things you need to know about this.
- This never impacts our editorial recommendations – if it's in, it's in there because we independently rate it best.
- You'll always get as good a deal (or better) than if you went direct.

What is off-peak?
Off-peak restrictions apply to travel on Mon-Fri only (generally outside commuter times). Tickets are not valid on trains leaving London between 7.30am and 8.30am, trains arriving into London before 9.30am or trains leaving London Waterloo, Vauxhall and Clapham Junction between 4pm and 7.15pm.
The restrictions vary depending on the route you take, so it's best to check train times online at South West Trains to see if your journey qualifies for the £15 offer, and if it may be affected by engineering works.
