If one of your New Year's resolutions is do up your home, you can register online at The Southern Home Show* (the MSE Blagged code SHS will be filled in automatically) to grab free tickets. You can select one or two tickets for entry to every day of the show from Fri 30 Jan to Sun 1 Feb at Alexandra Palace in London.
The offer's available until all 5,000 free tickets go (no booking fee) or until Wed 7 Jan, whichever's sooner. A ticket usually costs £8 on the door or £9 (incl a £1 booking fee per transaction) in advance. It's worth knowing under 16s go free anyway and don't need a ticket.
The show takes place from 10am-5pm Fri-Sat and 10am-4pm on Sun - one ticket gets you in on all three days. You'll receive your tickets instantly via email once registered, which you must either print out or show on your smartphone.
The Southern Home Show covers home improvement, self-build, interior design, finance, energy efficiency and more, plus there's free seminars and DIY workshops.

Register online at The Southern Homebuilding & Renovating and Home Improvement Show and select one or two tickets for entry on either Sat 28 Jun or Sun 29 Jun at Sandown Park Racecourse, Surrey. Tickets usually cost £12 on the door or £8 in advance. The offer's available until 1,000 pairs go or until Mon 16 Jun, whichever's sooner.
Max two tickets per transaction. Each person must print out a separate ticket and bring it on the day. The show's open from 10am-5pm on the Saturday and from 10am-4.30pm on the Sunday. Under 16s go free.
Southern Homebuilding & Renovating Show visitors will be able to attend free seminars led by experts within the industry on topics such as design, self-builds, extensions, remodelling, renewable technologies, budgets and legal issues.
