Affect Energy purchased by Octopus Energy – what you need to know
Octopus Energy has bought small gas and electricity provider Affect Energy – if you're a customer, don't worry, you don't have to do anything.
Octopus Energy, which supplies around 350,000 customers, completed the purchase of Affect Energy, which has 22,000 customers, on Friday 31 August.
If you're an Affect Energy customer, nothing will change for you, and you'll even continue to pay your bills to Affect as normal – you don't need to actively do anything.
Most Affect Energy customers are based in West Sussex, and if you're based there, you can even continue to pay your bills at the Affect Energy office in Shoreham-by-Sea.

What do Octopus Energy and Affect Energy say?
