BT customers will no longer be able to get a discount on their home phone and broadband line rental by paying for a year upfront as its 'line rental saver' product is being axed for new sign-ups and renewals from 21 July. If you currently use it, you won't pay any more until your contract expires after this date, but when it does you'll be switched to paying line rental monthly – meaning you'll lose the £20 a year saving.

EE to charge pay-as-you-go customers for roaming in Europe from today – here's what it means for you
EE is to start charging all pay-as-you-go customers to use their mobiles in Europe from today. The change means you'll have to pay to use your mobile data, make voice calls and send texts in 47 European countries and destinations that were previously included in EE's "Roam Like Home" allowance.

Pay monthly Tesco Mobile customers whose contracts expired before 1 February 2023 will see their mobile bills increase this spring by 14.4%, the mobile provider has announced. Going forward, you'll also need a Clubcard to avoid mid-contract price rises. But affected users can sign up to a new plan or cancel penalty-free to avoid this year's hikes. Around 1.3 million Sky Mobile customers who are out of contract will see their prices rise by £1 a month, an average of 9%, from 14 February. It's the first time in five years the provider has raised prices on any of its mobile plans, but you can try to haggle or leave penalty-free. If you're still in contract, you won't be affected.

It comes as post-Brexit roaming protections have now ended and most major networks have reintroduced roaming fees in the EU, ultimately leaving mobile users with weaker rights and many with higher costs.
