Outdoor clothing brand The North Face has an outlet section on its website where it sells discounted backpacks, jackets, fleeces, and active wear.

When we checked on Thursday 30 July all items in the outlet were brand-new. Items appeared to be discounted because they were end-of-line.

Examples we spotted:

The North Face Yumiori off peak ½ zip fleece jacket in grey – £69.95, was £115. Next cheapest, £97.75 at Asos
The North Face cropped T-shirt in black – £19.60, was £28. Next cheapest, £31.99 at Asos

'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
