When an adult buys a main meal

If you're visiting The Range (find your nearest) and fancy a bite to eat, head to Café Eighty Nine (its in-store cafés), and kids aged under 16 can eat for 'free' when an adult buys a main meal during the Easter holidays. The dates it runs for will differ depending on your location:

  • England and Scotland – Now until Monday 21 April

  • Wales and Northern Ireland – Saturday 12 April until Sunday 27 April

No code is required as the promotion is automatically applied to the bill. This offer is available in most of its in-store cafés across the UK every day of the week, from opening until café close.

The 'free' kids' meal includes dishes such as pick 'n' mix sandwich selection, fish & chips, or vegan chicken goujons & chips for example, and this would usually cost about £4. All kids' meals include a drink and a piece of fruit too.

One child can eat for free with every adult meal purchased.

The Range 'up to 50% off' 20,000+ items

Not huge discounts, some items cheaper elsewhere

If you go online to the The Range, you can get up  'up to 50% off' on selected items for its Black Friday sale which launched on Thursday 7 November. When we checked, there were over 28,000 items included in the sale, and the discounts will likely last throughout the entire month, while stocks last.

The discounts are spread across different departments including furniture, toys, cooking and dining, and Christmas.

What discounts have we seen?

  • Min discount we saw: 10%

  • Max discount we saw: 70%

  • Typical discount from ten random items: 26%

Here are a few deals and duds we spotted on Friday 29 November:

Delivery's from £4.99, or free if you're spending over £59.

Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

See our Black Friday 2024 guide for all our analysis. Check Deals & Vouchers for more latest offers on now.

Free protection for all shopping!

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
