Here's a selection of what caught our eye recently:

One Forumite told us they were keen on solar panels but realised they had a lot to learn

Money Moral Dilemma

Every week, the Money Tips email features a real-life Money Moral Dilemma (MMD for short). They're intended to encourage debate and, as such, they're usually among the most discussed threads each week.

Should I go back to the supermarket that didn't charge me and offer to pay?

I did my big shop at a major supermarket and paid with a credit card as normal. Yet when my card statement arrived, I hadn't been charged. Do I go back and offer to pay, so the supermarket doesn't lose out? I'd feel a bit silly as it's been weeks and I don't have a receipt, so I don't know exactly what I bought or how much it cost. Given such a big firm's unlikely to be affected by a one-off loss, I could say nothing and carry on shopping there, but would that make me no better than a thief?

See what our MSE Forumites had to say and add your own thoughts on the Money Moral Dilemma discussion thread. Do please stick to the MSE Forum rules: keep it kind and keep it clean. Remember, there's a real person behind every dilemma.

Got a Money Moral Dilemma of your own? Email us at MMD@moneysavingexpert.com and it could be featured.

Photo of the week

We love to see the amazing things our Crafting community create week by week, and one of this week's highlights on the no spending on craft materials thread was Soontobeoap's set of bags they'd made for their community club open day, using donated cotton yarn and lined with material from their stash.

Latest comping wins

This week imaleicestercityfan came to the Forum to report they'd won a coastal getaway in Newquay, staying at a four-star hotel complete with spa treatments and a 'dining experience'.

Head to the Competitions time boards to test your luck in this week's crop of comps.

One MoneySaver is heading to the Cornish coast for a getaway they won in a comp shared on the Forum
