Each week brings a new array of MoneySaving queries, dilemmas and success stories to the MSE Forum. Let's explore some of the cream of this week's crop.

A few of this week's top threads

These are some of the Forum discussions that caught our eye this week:

Money Moral Dilemma

Every week, the Money Tips email features a real-life Money Moral Dilemma (MMD for short). They're intended to encourage debate and, as such, they're usually among the most discussed threads each week.

Should we return the furniture we thought we'd been given for free?

My mum's neighbour gave us some furniture, which we believed to be a generous offer to help us furnish our first home. To show our appreciation, we donated £100 to his son, who ran the London Marathon for charity last weekend. The neighbour has now said he could have sold the furniture for much more than £100 and believes we should have made a larger donation. What should we do: return the furniture to him, increase the donation, or stick with our original understanding of the offer?

See what our MSE Forumites had to say and add your own thoughts on the Money Moral Dilemma discussion thread. Do please stick to the MSE Forum rules: keep it kind and keep it clean. Remember, there's a real person behind every dilemma.

Photo of the week

Greying_Pilgrim posted this photo of their roasted miso cauliflower dinner. There are lots of threads on the Old style MoneySaving board where you can pick up some culinary inspiration.

Challenge corner

With the end of one month and the start of another, participants in the grocery challenge have been declaring their April results. t14cy_t was just £1 over their planned spend for the month, whilst Blackcats ended April with £2 left over. Want to give the challenge a try in May? Step this way.

Latest comping wins

Congratulations to Hopeful_Dreamer whose optimism was justified this week when they won a weekend break in the Lake District: "I have an 11 week old little boy and this will be his first holiday and some much needed time together as a family and so we are so made up to have won this. Thank you so so much."

Last week's blog mentioned stacey2kids' delight at winning a £50 Iceland voucher - this week they've shared a photo of their haul:

Your two cents

Got car finance? MSE is inviting Forumites to check out our new guide and tool to see if you can refinance to save £100s or £1,000s.

As MSE_Helen_S says: "It's brand new territory for us, so we wanted you to go through it, see if you understand it, whether you think the guide and tool make sense and if any savings materialise for you."
