£50 off Shark DuoClean cordless vacuum cleaner

Makes it £200 via Blagged code - cheapest we've seen

Not all of us enjoy vacuuming, but we just have to suck it up. When we asked on Twitter what your favourite vacuum brand is, Shark came second only to Dyson, so we tried to get you a code... and succeeded.

Our deal gets a Shark DuoClean cordless upright vacuum cleaner for £199.99 (was £249.99) when you go via our special Blagged link* and enter the code MSE50 at the checkout. Shark has a range of vacuums and this one sits roughly at mid-level.

You can choose between red or blue, dependent on stock – the offer will end once all 7,500 units have been sold. When we checked on Tue 10 Mar there were 5,200 remaining. Delivery's free to all of mainland UK and takes two working days.

This model has two motorised brush-rolls, and comes with various tools for crevices, dusting, wide upholstery, and pet hair. It can be converted into a portable vacuum for cleaning stairs, curtains etc.

Here are some of the other key features of the Shark DuoClean cordless upright (model ref: IC160UKT):

Run time  Up to 50 minutes on one charge
     Weight  5.7kg
     Bin volume  0.6L
     Charging time  3.5 hours
Warranty  Five years when you register, two years for battery

    How good is this deal?

This model has been highly-reviewed at sites such as Good Housekeeping and Trusted Reviews. It was also recommended by popular Instagram cleaning expert Mrs Hinch.

While it’s not the latest model (it launched about 18 months ago), it is a popular one, and when we checked on Tue 3 Mar, our code makes it the cheapest cordless vacuum sold at Shark. We did find a lower spec Shark ‘stick’ vacuum for £179 at Hughes - this model has a smaller dust capacity and shorter run time than the IC160UKT.

A cheaper alternative to buying brand new is sometimes to look at refurbished models – however, we recently spotted a refurbished version of this model at eBay for the same price as our code, but only with a one-year warranty compared to five-years with a brand new one.

    What is an upright vacuum?

As you can see from the images above, an upright is bigger than a 'stick' vacuum and so it generally has a larger capacity, but this one's still part of the cordless family. It can also be converted into a lightweight portable vacuum as shown above.
