The Shark Black Friday event* started early for its email subscribers on Wednesday 30 October – you were sent an early access link to the sale with a unique discount code, valid until 8am on Wednesday 6 November. The code could be redeemed up to four times.
From Wednesday 6 November, the sale then opened to all, with more items being added in the sale as the month has gone on. The smallest discount we've seen is £80 off and the highest discount being £150 off single items. This is a higher discount than last year's Black Friday event where its best was £100 off.
Last year it told us that there were no plans to deepen its discounts, but cannot guarantee there will be no price changes as it will be price-matching with other retailers – this seems to be the case for 2024 too.
If you place your order before 8pm you get free next-day delivery.

A cheaper alternative to buying brand new is sometimes to look at refurbished models – check Shark's eBay outlet to see if you can find them for less.
Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100.
