A few of this week's top threads
A small sample of our favourite threads this week, from the intriguing to the heartening:
How can I get the smell of turpentine out of my (washed!) clothes?
Any smart ideas for slotting this roof tile back into place?
Suggestions for fixing this roof tile are welcome
Meet one of the Ambassadors
Allow us to introduce one of our new MSE Forum Ambassadors: beanielou, who kindly gives their time to help to look after the Mortgage-free wannabe, Local MoneySaving: Scotland and Disability money matters boards. Here's what they had to say:
I have been on MSE since February 2006. At that point my finances were dire. Now thanks to Martin's awesome forum and the support I have had I am debt free apart from a home improvement loan and, more importantly, mortgage free. Now the forum is helping me and so many others through the cost of living crisis. As a disabled person I like so, so many others am at the sharp edge of this. I have been lucky enough to make some amazing friends too. :-)

We have a total of 21 Ambassadors helping us keep the community running smoothly. See our full list of Ambassadors and the boards they look after.
Photo of the week
A happy outcome from the mixed sunshine and rain the UK's had recently: Farway's blackberry plant is starting to bloom. Stop by the Greenfingered MoneySaving board for more flora photography.
Please note: We love seeing your photos in the MSE Forum, but if you're uploading one, make sure it doesn't include any personally-identifiable information such as your face or address.
Money Moral Dilemma
Every week, the Money Tips email features a real-life Money Moral Dilemma (MMD for short). They're intended to encourage debate and, as such, they're usually among the most discussed threads each week.
Should I pay for a full funeral just because one of my children wants me to?
I'm planning for the future and have been looking to buy a non-attended cremation for when I die, as post-life events don't hold any particular significance for me. I have three grown-up children, and two of them are fine with it, but the third gets very upset at the idea of not having a traditional funeral to say goodbye to me. Should I pay for the funeral to make them feel better, or stick with my original plan?
You can find out what our MSE Forumites think and add your own two cents on the Money Moral Dilemma discussion thread. Heed the MSE Forum rules: keep it kind and keep it clean. Remember, there's a real person behind every Money Moral Dilemma.

Latest comping wins
One of our most thriving sections, the Competitions Time board is where compers find and share opportunities to win prizes. It's never short of success stories. This week, Heavier won £200 in the Bella Prize Crossword competition and 1972 posted these envy-inducing pictures of their Ibiza holiday win.
