Could possibly boost

Website: La Redoute*
Sale strength: Up to 50% off
Likely to boost? La Redoute could possibly boost its sale in the new year, we'll update here if it does.

What does 'up to 50% off' mean?

Incl free Click & Collect, up to 50% sale

There are always ways to save money at fashion and home retailer La Redoute*, so even if there isn’t a cracking deal out there that works for you, don’t assume you can’t cut your costs.

Ways to save include:

  • Free Click & Collect on all orders. La Redoute's delivery costs £3.99, but you can save money by collecting your order from a local pick-up point. For many, this is actually more convenient as it eliminates the risk of items being delivered while you're out.

  • Browse the sale. There are regularly discounts of up to 50% off in the La Redoute sale* - which is always stocked, though the number of products in the sale does fluctuate. And occasionally, there are codes that'll give you an extra discount on sale items too.

  • Check for deals from similar retailers. If you're not committed to buying from La Redoute, check for offers and discounts from other retailers such as AsosMatalan and Next.

  • Had a problem with La Redoute? There's a free online tool you can use to complain - it helps draft, manage and if necessary escalate your complaint. It's offered by a firm called Resolver, which we like so much we work with it to help people get complaints justice - you can use it to complain to La Redoute*.

If you spot any hot deals out there we have missed (we are human after all!), please let us know on Twitter @MSE_Deals or by emailing msedeals@moneysavingexpert.com.

La Redoute Black Friday sale 'up to 50% off'*

Including brands such as Converse and Dr Martens. Plus, extra 10% off code

Update Monday 2 December: La Redoute has added an extra 10% off sale items with the code: CYBER10 until 11.59pm on Monday 2 December, though there are some exclusions.

This year, La Redoute* is offering 'up to 50% off everything' for its Black Friday sale, which began on Tuesday 12 November. It's started stronger than last year, which was only 'up to 40% off' selected home, fashion and branded items.

It also had a 'favourites offer' in 2023 where certain items had an extra 5% discount automatically applied at the checkout. We're yet to see this yet, but predict it may come back this Cyber Weekend.

So far, we think this sale is only good for La Redoute own-brand items. We've found branded items cheaper elsewhere.

What discounts have we seen?

  • Min discount we saw: 5%

  • Max discount we saw: 60%

  • Typical discount based on 10 random items: 35%

Delivery's £3.99 (or £9.99 for bulky items). Click and collect through ParcelShop is £2.99, or free if you're spending £60 or more.

A few examples of some deals, both good and bad, we spotted on Friday 29 November:

Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you are getting the best deal possible – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

La Redoute up to 50% off everything?*

Last year on clothing, homeware & brands such as Levi's, Morphy Richards & Puma

Last year, La Redoute* offered 'up to 40% off' everything' starting on Thursday 2 November, which boosted to 'up to 50% off' on Friday 10 November. On Black Friday itself, you could get an additional 15% off, which then dropped to 10% for Cyber Monday.

Menswear, womenswear, kids' clothing, homeware and baby items were all included in the Black Friday offer, though some clothing items were limited on sizes – so if there's something you're after, it's best to go quick when the sale launches. Branded items, such as Levi's, Puma and Adidas were included in the sale too so if an item you're after isn't discounted directly with a brand, you could check La Redoute's sale.

We predict La Redoute will stagger its offering again this year, with up to 40% off launching in early November, then increasing its discount to up to 50%. If you can hold out, there might be additional discounts on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

A few examples of some deals, both good and bad, we spotted last year:

  • Kids' Levi's cotton mix hoodie – When we checked on Friday 10 November, price was £28.80 (was £48), however when we checked on Tuesday 21 November the price had changed to £30 (was £50). Not found sold elsewhere

  • Morphy Richards Verve 1.7L kettle – £30 (was £60). CHEAPER at Amazon for £23.49

  • Men's Adidas logo print hoodie – £40.60 (was £58). Similar for £33.50 at Very

  • Puma Classic XXl leather trainers – £48 (was £80). Next cheapest £70 at Puma

Important: Don’t allow yourself to be taken in by the hype around Black Friday and be sucked into buying something you don’t need or can’t afford. Always do your own price comparisons to ensure you’re getting the best deal – don’t just take a retailer’s word for it.

There's a little-known piece of legislation that turns any credit card into a financial self-defence superhero. 'Section 75' of the Consumer Credit Act means your plastic must protect anything you buy for more than £100 for free, so if there's a problem or the company goes bust, you can still get your money back.
And although Section 75 doesn't apply to debit cards, there is something else to fall back on if you've paid using a debit card, or used a credit card for a purchase under £100. Known as Chargeback, this is part of banks' and card companies' internal rules and not a legal requirement. Read full details of Section 75 or Chargeback, plus how to claim, in our guides.
What the * means above
If a link has an * by it, that means it is an affiliated link and therefore it helps MoneySavingExpert stay free to use, as it is tracked to us. If you go through it, it can sometimes result in a payment or benefit to the site. It's worth noting this means the third party used may be named on any credit agreements.
You shouldn’t notice any difference and the link will never negatively impact the product. Plus the editorial line (the things we write) is NEVER impacted by these links. We aim to look at all available products. If it isn't possible to get an affiliate link for the top deal, it is still included in exactly the same way, just with a non-paying link.
