£350 for £140 via 'Ultimate' No7 Advent calendar

£185 of No7 beauty products for £49.50 via Advent calendar SOLD OUT

It's that time of year again, and one of the big beauty Advent calendars MoneySavers wait for has been released. Once again, Boots is offering two No7 Advent calendars at different price points. I've got the info on what's inside them and I've done the maths so you can decide if they're worth buying.

Boots' No7 Advent calendars are always mega-popular. Both calendars were released online and in Boots stores on Wednesday 19 October, but the £49.50 version had totally sold out by Wednesday 2 November with Boots saying it will not get any more stock in. The more expensive £140 calendar was still available when we checked.

£140 No7 'Ultimate' Beauty Advent calendar (with £350 of contents)

The No7 'Ultimate' beauty Advent calendar* is much more expensive at £140. It contains more of the No7 Restore & Renew range (see below for a full list of the 25 items), so if that's the range you'd usually buy then this calendar might be more worth it for you.

Boots reckon the contents would normally cost £433, but I found you could get the products inside this calendar individually for £350 factoring in current offers, which still means you'll save £210.

What's the main difference between the two calendars?

If a No7 Advent calendar is on your Christmas list and you can afford either calendar, you might be wondering what the difference is. While both calendars contain items which can be used by most people, such as nail varnish, brushes and mascara, some MoneySavers have told us that this year's £49.50 calendar contains options not suitable for their skin type.

I took a look at the calendars, and the £49.50 version contains more of the Protect & Perfect range which No7 recommends for ages 30-45 years old. The 'Ultimate' £140 version contains more of the Restore & Renew range, which No7 recommends for ages 60 years and above. Of course, you can always buy the calendars to split up and use any items that aren't suitable as gifts for family members who do use them.

The No7 beauty advent calendar* includes popular No7 items such as Protect & Perfect day and night creams, Lash Extender mascara, plus some products in limited edition colours – see below for the full list of 25 items.

Boots says it contains £211-worth of items but I found you could currently get the products inside this calendar individually for £184, as many No7 products are included in 3for2 or other offers, which is still good value as you'll save £134.50.
