TalkTalk worst for complaints – again
TalkTalk once again tops the tables as the most complained about landline and broadband provider, the telecoms regulator reveals.
Ofcom complaints data shows that from April to June the firm received the most customer complaints per customer of any provider.
Key Points
TalkTalk gets most broadband and landline complaints
3 gets most mobile complaints
Virgin and O2 get least complaints
It had 0.8 complaints per 1,000 customers about its landline services and 0.58 complaints per 1,000 customers about its broadband.
The provider also generated the most complaints in Ofcom's last report in April, though its performance has slightly improved
To make matter worse, in our own survey in June, users rated TalkTalk as having the worst customer service out of all the big broadband and landline providers (see the TalkTalk worst of big guns news story).
Only last month it was slapped with a £3 million fine from Ofcom for billing customers for services they never received (see the TalkTalk billing blunders news story).
The least complained about landline and broadband provider in the same period was Virgin Media with 0.15 complaints per 1,000 customers about both its landline and broadband services.
Out of the major mobile providers, customers of Three were least happy with their service, with the provider receiving 0.14 complaints per 1,000 customers, up from 0.09 in Ofcom's last report, while O2 received the least complaints at 0.02.
