If you’re a part of the Emergency Services (ambulance service, fire service, police etc.) or work for the NHS, if you’ve got valid ID, you should be able to get these discounts below. Some require you to have a Blue Light Card, but others you’ll just need a valid ID card. If you're in the Armed Forces, see our Forces Discounts page.

  • At most Yo! Sushi restaurants, customers who show a valid Blue Light Card code from Tuesday to Friday or on Sundays from Fri 20 Dec will get 50% off food until Tue 31 Dec. If you're going before Fri 20 Dec, you can still get 20% off.

To get the code, you need to hold a Blue Light Card, and generate the code from its website or via the app - you can't just show the card.

It's only valid on bills up to the value of £100. It excludes drinks and takeaways, and it can't be used with any other offers.

It's valid at all Yo! Sushi restaurants except Heathrow T2 and T3 and White City.

    What's the Blue Light Card?

Some online discounts you can get with a free account, but the card costs £4.99 for a five-year membership so might be worth it if you think you'll save more than £5 using it. Check here to see if your service is valid for this discount.

  • Emergency Services and NHS workers, can register for a free online Blue Light Card to receive discounts for online retailers. Check more info to see if your service is included.

There's also an optional physical card for use in high street retailers, which costs £4.99 for a five-year membership - well worth it if you think you'll save over £5 during this time.

Unfortunately, you can't see which other offers are available until you've signed up, but in the past we've spotted offers such as 10% off at Iceland, 10% off at Starbucks, 20% off Superdry, 30% off yoga classes, and discounts at several popular restaurants.

If you have a Blue Light Card, don't just assume it'll give you the best discounts - always compare offers to check you're getting the best deal.
