If you’re a part of the Emergency Services (ambulance service, fire service, police etc.) or work for the NHS, if you’ve got valid ID, you should be able to get these discounts below. Some require you to have a Blue Light Card, but others you’ll just need a valid ID card. If you're in the Armed Forces, see our Forces Discounts page.

If you work for the NHS, sign up for free or log in via this Health Service Discounts link to get a code for 20% off full-price adult shoes and accessories online only at Clarks.
Health Service Discounts says to ensure your code works, you should complete your purchase within the same session and not open multiple tabs or visit another site until you've completed your order. Delivery is £4.95 for orders under £75 or you can collect from a Clarks store for free.
The offer excludes Originals, collaborations, reduced-price items, shoe care, and kids' styles.

For Getir newbies only
If you work for the NHS and you're new to speedy grocery delivery service Getir, you can use a code for 40% off when spending £30 or more via its app. There's a maximum discount of £16, so you'll make a saving on spends up to £40.
To use the offer, sign up to Getir with your NHS email address and add the code NHS40 to the 'Promotions' section of the Getir app (Android/iOS). Then, when you've chosen your order, tap 'Select promotion' at the checkout and pick the NHS offer to apply it to your basket.
You can only use the code once and it can't be combined with any other code. The minimum spend excludes alcohol, tobacco products, cigarettes, gift cards, infant formula and medicines.
Getir delivers to selected areas of London, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Liverpool, Manchester and Southampton.

If you work for the NHS, sign up for free to Health Service Discounts and you can get a code for 20% off TransPennine Express advance fares (including first-class). The rail operator has services covering the north of England and Scotland including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, York and Newcastle.
To get the deal, sign up/log in at this Health Service Discounts link – you'll then be able to access the TransPennine offer link and code. A maximum of eight discounted tickets can be bought using one code. An advance ticket is for a single journey, so if you want a return you'll need to buy two advance singles.

NHS staff can get a code for 15% off a monthly membership to The Gym Group (find your nearest), plus no joining fee (normally £15). To get the code, you'll need to sign up for free at this Health Service Discounts link.
The cost of membership differs depending on the location, but The Gym Group says prices start from £15.99 a month. The discount is only available on its 'Do it' membership, and you can cancel any time.

30+ London shows
If you work for the NHS you can get 10% off big London West End theatre show tickets booked at See Tickets when you get a code via daily deals site VoucherCodes*.
When we checked, the discount could be used for 30+ shows including Matilda, Disney's The Lion King, Wicked, Les Misérables, Mama Mia! and more – see the full list.
To access the offer, sign up to VoucherCodes* using your personal email address. Visit the offer page* and you'll then be able to verify you work for the NHS with your staff email address to get the code.

If you've a Blue Light Card, Pure Gym (find your nearest) is offering 5% off monthly memberships or 10% off fixed-term memberships, plus no joining fee (normally about £15).
The cost of membership depends on the location, but Pure Gym says monthly memberships start from £15.99 a month.

Blue Light Card holders can get free entry to London's Kew Gardens (normally £12 to £21.50 depending on the time of year). Kew Gardens says there's no need to pre-book – simply show your Blue Light Card at the gate.
If you don't have a Blue Light Card already, it costs £4.99 for two years – see more info. The free entry is only for the Blue Light Card holder, not guests.

To get the discount, show your valid work ID card before paying. Alternatively, Tim Hortons says you can show a Blue Light Card (£4.99 for two years – see more info).

NHS staff can get 5% off on service and MOT bookings at Mr Clutch Autocentres (40+ branches in England and Wales – find your nearest). To claim the discount, show your NHS ID in any branch.
The offer can be combined with discounted online prices, but can't be used with any other offer.

If you've a Blue Light Card (£4.99 for two years – see more info), you can get 10% off at KFC when you link the card with the KFC app and generate a code – you can't just show your Blue Light Card at the restaurant.
Open the KFC app, tap 'More' followed by 'Discounts' – you'll need to sign in or create an account. Once signed in, tap 'Apply Blue Light Card discount' and enter your Blue Light Card number and surname. You'll then find a QR code in the 'Rewards' section of the KFC app which you can scan at the restaurant counter.

Ongoing
If you've a Blue Light Card (£4.99 for two years – see more info), you can get 10% off in-store or online at Krispy Kreme. Show your Blue Light Card in a Krispy Kreme store, or generate a code to use online from the Blue Light Card website or app.
The discount isn't available on items from a Krispy Kreme cabinet in third-party stores such as Tesco and service stations.

Mental health programme Unmind is giving free access to NHS staff who sign up online with their NHS email account. It's valid until Sunday 31 December.
Access Unmind via the special NHS link, sign up with your NHS work email, answer a few questions to get set up, then download the app to your phone.

If you're with O2 and planning to refresh your tariff, as the NHS is working with O2 you're eligible for its O2 Open discount if you apply within 28 days of the start of your O2 Refresh contract with an eligible handset, tablet, hotspot or dongle.

If you register online at EE with your NHS email address, or NHS photo ID card, you'll receive a code for 20% off selected 24-month pay monthly phone, SIM or broadband plans. You'll also be able to extend the benefit to up to four of your friends and family.
If you run out of data, this offer also gives you free unlimited data at a reduced speed of 2Mbps so you'll still be able to access the internet, albeit at a slower speed.

Asda (find your nearest) is offering 10% off in-store purchases (see 'More info' for exclusions) for NHS and emergency services staff on presentation of a Blue Light Card and ID.
The discount was due to end in March, but Asda has extended the offer until Sunday 30 April, though there's always a risk it could be pulled, so it's best to check you can use the discount before shopping. See Asda for full T&Cs.
A Blue Light Card costs £4.99 for two years, so it's worth checking to see if you'll save more than this using the offers available before signing up.

Extended through 2023
Mindfulness and meditation app Headspace is offering free three-month Headspace Plus subscriptions to NHS staff who sign up using their NHS email account (see more info for which accounts are included). It's extended this offer until Sunday 31 December 2023.
If you've already signed up previously for a free three months, Headspace says you should be able to sign up again.

Valid once a week
If you work for the NHS, you can get 20% off the entire menu at McDonald's once a week when ordering via the app. The offer was originally due to end on Friday 31 March, however McDonald's has announced it plans to keep this offer indefinitely.
You'll need to download the free McDonald's app (iOS/Android) and register for an account using your NHS email address. Once you've done this, you'll then be able to select the 20% discount offer within the deals section of the app.

If you work for the NHS, you can get 20% off food and drink orders up to £20 at Nando's (find your nearest).
If you're dining in, you'll just need to show a valid photocard ID when you order and you can use the discount once per day. If you're with a group and want to give others the discount too, you'll need to put everyone's meals on the same order, but remember the 20% off only works up to £20 – anything over that won't get the discount.
If you don't fancy dining in, you can get the 20% off if you order for collection, too – Peri nice! You'll just need to register online at Nando's and then apply the discount when you order. You'll need to verify your NHS email address every six months.

Monday to Sunday
NHS staff can get 20% off their food bill at Frankie & Benny's (find your nearest) when dining in. Simply purchase at least two meals from the main, vegan, or gluten-free menus, and show a valid ID card.
One ID card can be used for up to a group of six people, and the offer's available every day of the week, although there are some exclusions – see 'More info' below.

Green Flag is giving NHS workers (excluding volunteers) an extra 10% off new breakdown policies.
To get the discount, call it on 0345 246 2766 and tell it your NHS ID number. You can't get this offer online, though Green Flag says you'll be given its usual online discount (up to 40% off), plus the extra 10% off.
The discount excludes single trip or annual multi-trip European cover, and family cover policies. Green Flag says this offer is ongoing.

JustPark is a service where you can find and reserve parking spaces at 45,000+ locations – including private driveways, spare offices spaces, commercial car parks etc – and NHS workers can get 10% off.
To get the discount, sign up at JustPark with your NHS email address, then search for a parking space near where you need to be. The discount will be applied automatically.
If you don't have an NHS email address, sign up in the same way and JustPark will send an email which you can reply to with proof that you're a critical care worker – JustPark will then update your account.
There is currently no end date for this offer.
