Expired Deals

Van Meuwen logo72 lavender plug plants 5.45 all in (norm 24)*Or 48 for 4.95, 24 for 4.45. Two varieties

Expired

If you go via this Van Meuwen* MSE Blagged link - the code TM_VAF2 should automatically be applied at the basket stage - you can get 72 lavender 3-6cm plug plants in two varieties for £5.45 delivered (£1.50 plus £3.95 delivery).

It’s normally £24 all-in and the next cheapest we could find for 72 plug plants is £10.99 delivered from Van Meuwen via Groupon - the next cheapest after that is £46 delivered from J Parkers. It's one order per person and the offer ends at 11.59pm on Sun 29 Apr, or when all 8,000 bundles have been sold, whichever comes first.

If you want fewer than 72 plants, you’ll be given the option to buy 48 for £4.95 delivered (norm £19ish delivered), or 24 for £4.45 delivered (norm £14ish delivered).

How will they arrive?

Van Meuwen says the bundle should be despatched by the end of April, but this may vary due to weather conditions. It says if planted now, they should start to flower from July to September (depending on the weather), and will come with full growing instructions.

It says the plug plants should be potted on into 7-8cm pots and grown on until large enough to plant in their final positions in a sunny spot with good drainage. You can also plant in pots in a free-draining compost, just make sure to keep the containers well watered in a sunny position.

MSE Rhiannon says:

As lavender is perennial, once established it will not die off at the end of the year like an annual, but with proper care should last for years. As you get 24, 48 or 72 plants in this offer, you could use them to make a mini hedge in your front garden for a fantastic fragrance every time you come home - but do think whether you need the larger packs as 72 plants is quite a few.

The code can't be used with any other offer or promotional voucher. Gift vouchers can be used but not towards the delivery cost.

It's limited to one bundle per order and if you add more than one to your basket, you won't get the full amount of discount taken off. Anyone who wants to buy two or more will need to place separate orders, applying the code each time.

Van Meuwen logo9 magnolia plant (norm 34ish)*Or two for 13, four for 19. Pink & white blooms in summer

Expired

If you go via this Van Meuwen* MSE Blagged link - the code TM_VAF1 should automatically be applied at the basket stage - you can get one magnolia bare root plant for £8.94 delivered (£4.99 plus £3.95 delivery).

It’s normally £34 all-in and the next cheapest we could find is £12 delivered from Van Meuwen via Groupon - the next cheapest after that is £24.98 delivered from Gardening Express. It's one order per person and the offer ends at 11.59pm on Sun 4 Mar, or when all 10,000 bundles have been sold, whichever comes first.

If you want more than one, you can also get two for £12.93 delivered (norm £59.98 plus delivery), or four for £18.91 delivered (norm £119.96 plus delivery).

How will they arrive?

Van Meuwen says the bundle should be despatched within 24 hours, but this may vary due to weather conditions. It says if planted now, they should start to flower from April to May, then sometimes again in August and will come with full growing instructions.

You can plant straight away, however it's best not to try to plant them in completely frozen ground or if freezing conditions are expected - plant them in containers in a sheltered area instead and protect from any snow.

MSE Rhiannon says:

This is a really good option if you'd like something that will flower twice a year, year after year. You can start them off in pots - which is probably best due to recent inclement weather - and then plant them out in their final position later.

Van Meuwen logo32 Tulip bulbs for 6 all-in (norm 13)*Mixed varieties. Plant now for spring

Expired

If you go via this MSE Blagged Van Meuwen* link and enter the promotional code VMAFF41XZ, you can get a bundle of 32 tulip bulbs for £5.94 delivered (£1.99 plus £3.95 delivery). It's one per person and the offer ends at 11.59pm on Sun 15 Oct, or when all 12,000 bundles have been sold, whichever comes first.

This bundle would normally cost £12.94 (£8.99 plus £3.95 delivery) and the next cheapest we could find a similar bundle bought separately was about £15 including delivery, so £5.94 all-in with this deal gives you a blooming good saving.

How will they arrive?

Van Meuwen says the bundle should be dispatched within a week and delivered by mid-October and the bulbs will arrive boxed, in a breathable bag. It says if planted now, they should start to flower from April to May and will come with full growing instructions.

What's in the collection:

The collection will be a random mix of tulip bulbs, including tall, medium and dwarf varieties.

How your bulbs will arrive
MSE Rhiannon says:

Now's the time to plant your autumn-planting bulbs - you can plant these as soon as you receive them, and they'll pop up in spring to give your garden some colour. Full planting instructions will come with the bulbs, but Van Meuwen says plant them at least 8" deep, 4"-6" apart for best results.
